Top Ten Needs
A practical way to impact people for Christ

Did you know that over 700 people walk through The Chapel doors every Sunday?  Or that our Children's Ministry offers programs to over 150 children every Sunday from infants through fifth grade?  How about the fact that The Chapel grounds are over 6 acres?  Or that our building itself is over 49,000 square feet?

As you can imagine, all these numbers add up to one thing:  many opportunities to make a difference.  Our church couldn't run without its many volunteers who serve cheerfully when the call is put out.  But there is always a need for more volunteers.  Here are The Chapel's Top Ten Needs (and sometimes a bit more):

  1. Children's Ministry Volunteers
Helping out in Children's Ministry is a great time to get in touch with your sillies.  Each Sunday, over 150 kids come to our Sunday School program.  We're always looking for helpers, whether you'd like to rock a baby, or rock and roll with fifth graders.  To find out more, contact Cindy Swearingen or Jan Brandt.
  2. Sunday Morning Prayer Ministry
The Sunday Morning Prayer Ministry is looking for volunteers who will commit to meet for prayer during the Worship Service on time each month.  Openings are available during both worship hours.  Contact Jim or Barbara Spicer for more details at 556-0205.
  3. Coffee Makers
Every Sunday, we offer hot, fresh Starbucks to all our bleary-eyed, caffeine-deprived Chapel family.  Are you good at turning on the tap and loading a coffee maker?  Then this is the spot for you!  Contact Pastor Phil Bubar to find out about available Sundays.
  4. Sunday Driver
From time to time, we receive requests for rides to our Sunday services.  If you'd be willing to offer rides to and from The Chapel on Sunday mornings, please contact Pastor Phil.
  5. Communion Set Up
Help prepare, set up, and clean up the communion elements on the first Sunday of each month. Contact Pastor Phil.
  6. Greeters
Our Connecting Ministry provides greeters at The Chapel doors before and after services on Sunday.  Could you be that great "first impression" for Chapel visitors and family?  To find out more, contact Cliff Tallman.
  7. Sunday Morning Clean-Up Crew
Stay for a bit after the second service to help clean up classrooms, the kitchen, turn off lights, and lock doors.  If interested, contact Pastor Phil.
  8. Singers
We're always on the lookout for those who have been blessed with a beautiful singing voice!  If you're interested in helping to lead people in worship through song, contact Kent Wade for an application.
  9. Missions Committee Members
Our Missions Committee meets once a month and helps plan and implement how The Chapel supports a variety of missions and missionaries.  They also organize short-term mission trips to such places like Romania, Bosnia, and Louisiana.  If you are interested in joining our Missions Committee, please contact Cindy O'Neill.
  10. Body Life Team Members
The Chapel's Body Life Team helps promote fellowship among our members by organizing church-wide events.  They plan the food, decorations, and search for the entertainment.  To help with this contact Jim and Mary Craig.
