Thanksgiving Eve Service
Wednesday, November 22, 7:00 pm
Please join us on this special night of worship as we express our hearts of praise to the Lord together. We do this through song, prayer, the giving of our offerings, and words of testimony. Be thinking about what you are thankful for this year and use this opportunity to share your heart.
Childcare will not be provided during this service.
Thanksgiving Offering 2017
This year's offering be divided among two relief efforts:
- Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief
Samaritan’s Purse is providing emergency physical relief and spiritual support to the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. This includes food, water, medical care, electrical generators, and compassionate care in the name of Jesus Christ.
- West Michigan Food Bank
Each year, Feeding America West Michigan distributed more than 25 million pounds of food, the equivalent of more than 20 million meals. The West Michigan Food Bank (part of Feeding America) is a clearinghouse for food donated by farmers and food manufacturers, distributors and retailers and made available to 160 charitable agencies in our county. Our contribution is earmarked for the Benton Harbor Salvation Army, so they can go to the Food Bank and get that amount of food for free.
A special offering envelope will be available beginning November 19. Your offering may be placed in the offering plate on November 19 or 26, or given at our Thanksgiving Eve service. Please make checks payable to The Chapel. You can also donate online at My Place by designating your gift as "Thanksgiving Special Offering."
