Current Series:  "Get Your But Out of the Way"

Excuses . . . it seems like everyone is an expert at creating the perfect one for any situation. My daughter is no exception. I like to say she has a “but problem.” But, but, but, but, but, but! The word flows effortlessly from her lips! She’s not alone—we live in a world of really big buts!

This series takes a look at the problem with excuses and deals with three big ones that get in the way most often.

Week 1: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MY BUT GETS IN THE WAY?

The nation of Israel had it all! God was delivering them to the Promised Land, a land picked just for them. It was all good until their buts got in the way! The main point of this lesson: Don’t miss God’s best because of your but.

This lesson helps students realize that they are, in fact, the perfect age to get started. The main point of this lesson: I’m never too young to be used.

Unhealthy fear paralyzes. “I’m afraid” is one of the biggest buts around! This lesson takes a look at how to face-down our fears. The main point of this lesson: Is fear my friend or my foe?
