The High Calling of A Spiritual Mother

A Whispers of Grace "Spiritual Mother" challenges women of all seasons  to creatively follow Scripture's teaching of the divine role of women to nurture and give life in the home, church, and community.  This is increasingly difficult in a society that values less and less those uniquely feminine arts.  No matter our age or marital status, we women are meant by God to be "life givers" in word and deed.     

 You are a "Spiritual Mother" if you seek after God daily; find your moral and spiritual clarity from His Bible; and strive to bring glory to Christ in all that you say and do, with thankfulness in your heart. {Colossians 3:16&17}

 You are a Spiritual Mother to other women if you go out of your way to offer loving biblical friendship and encouragement to a sister in Christ who is having difficulty with her marriage and parenting. {Titus 2:3}

You are a Spiritual Mother when you find ways to introduce Jesus Christ and His wisdom (Bible) into conversations wherever you go. {Proverbs 31:26}

 You are a Spiritual Mother when you see other women as sisters in Christ, not as rivals. {Ruth 3:1}

 You are a Spiritual Mother if you use your singleness to pursue undivided devotion to the Lord. {I Corinthians 7:35}

 You are a Spiritual Mother if your family is your first concern when you arise every morning. {Proverbs 31:15}

 You are a Spiritual Mother when you love and encourage the leadership of your husband. {I Peter 3:1-6; Ephesians 5:22; Proverbs 31:12}

You are a Spiritual Mother when you joyfully fulfill your God given calling to create, give life, nurture, worship, love, and persevere wherever God has placed you. {I Timothy 2:15}

 You are a Spiritual Mother if you find your forgiveness, significance, and identity in Jesus Christ, instead of the vain promises of this world. {Proverbs 31:30}
